Yesterday was a good day. Kyle made a big difference in the office today. it was his 1st day back from school but he provided leadership to the animators. He understand my style and quality level. He will be a big asset to free me up from overseeing staff. He also beganworking on a DR promotional song.

I’m trying to get ahead of the game by doing the daily blogs in the morning. Already it frees up time at night. I got alot of work done yesterday and finished up all my assignments.  There was a cpl. people who stopped in unannounced but I was able to hear there story and convey to them I was on a mission w/prior obligations.  So many people stop by these days unnannounced I will have to put up a sign that says by “APPOINTMENT ONLY”. I’m not trying to be rude but I have to get work done. No one is there when the rent is due. These visitors don’t mean to take up valuable time. They’re just not considering myself or teams prior obligations. Although I don’t mind people stopping by who are close friends or family who have struggled w/me. But most times they know the deal and are busy themselves. Denise called from LA w/some good ideas on bringing the project to the next level. She will be bk. on Wednesday so we can start implementing. Today is a big staff mtg. for me to go over w/the team the new focus on the project. Our focus will to be selling books and whatever product or service we have to create funding for the project. There must be a sense of urgency from everyone.

A new day and beginning. This week I have to be totally focus and get alot done. We are closing in on the one year mark of the project. We accomplished alot and alot fell through the cracks. 

To get to the next level we have to generate as much money possible and get rid of as much weight  as possible (debt, distractions). We have to change up the way we are doing things. We will help people dream but within the DR camp, we must work w/strong smart people who can help us get to the next level.

Also I lost sight of always promoting and selling the book before everything

right now.  A passage of the book should be recited or read to encourage folks to buy it and check it out. I remember telling my mentor Phil I needed a big break right now. He pointed a t the DR binder and new script I was working on and said “Your break is within this project”.

A good day in getting stuff done I tried to get ahead w/alot of work and staying focused. The main thing was getting daily assignments ready for the team. So everyone has clear direction.  Been doing some brainstorming to start making more effective change.  The main thing is saying “NO” to alot of distractions and getting as much work done on a daily basis.

I watched the BET Awards show which were dedicated ti Michael Jackson. The man left a legacy and still lives despite all the misunderstandings and criticism he edured. He was number one in his field because he always strived to the be the best, orked hard, was original, and always dealt in quality. he has set the standard and has created the blueprint for success for all dreamers including myself. I will use his blueprint to get ahead w/this DR project.

Kyle came in tonight and will be hlping us get to the next level this summer.

I will start doing the blogs the day of in the mornings. this will give me more time to work on other things at night.

Worked on getting my car up and running w/my brother Felipe. I  borrowed my wife’s vehicle and went into the office for a little while. I worked on tax-credit applications for films. I had an idea of how to help fund the project through training. I will start pursuing next week.  I emailed Kyle next week the script for You Tube #51.  Kyle will be flying in next week from LA to help out on the project this summer.

I tried to create some balance w/my personal and do some yard work.  One of the biggest challenges on doing a big project like this is not letting personal responsibilites slip through the cracks.

Last night I met w/the Dad of a very famous football athlete. He traveled today to meet his son. During this time he will introduce him to the DR Project and see if he has some monetary interest I the project. I will get feedback next week.

Last night Natasha called and set up a meeting w/myself and Dorsey James (famed music executive) to meet next Wednesday.  We will be discussing Natasha working w/Young! Studios and I will be able to introduce him to the project.

Today was a very productive day. Tierney finished up the 1st draft of the DR Business/Marketing plan. I will review this weekend.  I will be in contact w/the CPA’s to begin the process of getting the paperwork correct for investors. I finished up all the shooting for next week You Tube. Kyle will have to finish tomorrow to make our Monday deadline. He flies in from LA Sunday.

Vanessa also worked hard trying to secure other funding for the organization.

 What a day! I was dealing w/car problems all day and still trying to get work done. I thought I was having a bad day and then the news comes in Music Icon Michael Jackson dies. What a tragedy. What a surprise! Michael Jackson was so loved by so many people and touched so many lives. My family always supported him and his career.  My Dad was probably the biggest fan always mesmerized by his talents. The man was a musical genius who made a difference in people’s lives through  his music and charitable work. But him and his music lives with all of us in just a different form.

His life has inspired me to continue w/my dream and inspire others to go for theirs.  When bad things happen to us we must keep moving forward knowing if we have breath in our lungs we can turn things around.  We don’t ever want to live our lives saying “what if”, but instead I did, I am, I will. Life is a precious gift and we must live it to the fullest. None of us know our passing date.  We must also cherish people in our lives…they are with us family, friends, strangers and even celebrities like Michael Jackson. He is a class act. God Bless him, his family and important contributions and legacy.

Spent most of the day running around getting my truck up and runner. The transmission went on my other car. I tried to get as much work done as possible in-between.

We had a good DR discussion and signing at the library. About 25-30 people showed up. There seemed like alot of interest in people wanteing to help out w/the project. Thi was a sin no matter as difficult it is

Another fast day. In the morning we had a good mtg. w/people from the State Art Commission. We will be hosting a big event and July  for art teachers in July and we will be able to promote the DR project.

We began putting a blueprint of  a sales and mktg.(and social mktg.) division for Dr. the project is taking alot of time and resources from YS and it has to sustain itself. We have to implement this quickly.

I screwed up big time today. I missed a big function w/one of our partners. I’ve been waiting for this event/function and did not put it in my calendar. I really wanted to attend to do networking and show my support for one of the organizers of the event. With all the activities going on w/YS and my personal. I have to put all activities in my electronic calendar or simply delegate the work. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy and create our own left curves. I can’t screw up like this again!

Debbie from ED used her connections to have the DR Adult version promoted to all the libraries in CT. This is a major deal. This gets the word out about the project and sells books.

We had a good DR interview w/Comcast cable TV show Take 1. It will air in alot f towns in CT and MA. We have to keep up the PR grind.

Tonight I will prepare for my  DR discussion at Bloomfield Prosser Library at 7:00p.m. tomorrow.

A super fast day. The days are going by faster.  Time is compressed, but the bills remain high.  The transmission on my car began slipping today. When it rains it pours. But the umbrella is a positive attitude no matter what is thrown at us.It’s hard to keep up w/everything. I will have to rely on team more. Today I handed out assignment sheets to most of team. The sheets breakdown on daily basis what I expect done from team. It took a couple hours to figure all I need done. But it will keep everyone on track.

Kyle was able to finsih episode #50 of the DR You Tube. I can’t believe it 50 entries. In a minute we will evaluate our progress on these You Tube and see how effective they are in helping us get to the next level.

Densie and I discussed today how to keep the book the main focus on everything as well as bringing everything to the next level. Also we must concentrate more on fundraising for the project. Denise pretty much finished the planning of the next episode of DR Live. I laid down the voice over for the next Mr. Ruff Cutt. the intern ted added a voice for a character in the episode. it will be the strongest and funniest RC episode yet. A little dark but we’re pushing the envelope to get attention.

It was difficult working on a the Scruples script. I have to double up tomorrow on it.

Father’s Day- The family took me to breakfast and gave me a couple gifts. Also Kyle and Johnny called to wish me a Happy Father’s Day. To me the food and gift aren’t important. The main thing is all my children are healthy and have a positive attitude in life.  As Fathers it is our job to assist in securing a bright future as much as we can. But like Mom it’s tough w/all lifes challeges but we must achieve this goal…failing is not an option. I think our job as fathers, mothers, parents is to make our children’s lives a little bit easier and create opportunites for them.

So today on Father’s Day I decided to work harder than ever on the DR Project so it opens up opportunities for my children and even children I don’t know. This is what life is about. Knowing you helped you get your children get to the next level is one of life best feelings.
