Today was a busy day. The webmaster Bryan called and said a lot of work is completed on the site. We are really making everything systematic for people to contact us. We recently met a colleague Courtney who  introduced us in getting the Diamond Ruff word out by using a couple new social networks YouTube, Mogul, iTunes and Twitter. Kyle is setting us up in these networks. It will increase our visibility. Mike from segue brought a young lady Anabel to work with us on book sales and investments etc. She’s young, smart and has a good attitude.

We had a staff meeting today, getting everyone on the same page. I will be doing my regular Young! Studios stuff.  Sometimes on a project like this it’s easy to lose focus on what’s paying the bills.

I will call the editor today to see his progress.  Today we will also get in contact with University of Hartford to see the status of college interns.

I will also be setting up the particulars for Segue, Inc. to sell the book tour.  The meeting is set for tomorrow at noon.

Today was a good day.  One of my clients  Ja Andre Smith is interested in helping us with the producing on the movie and guiding us on distribution, investors, etc.  He is very knowledgeable on film making. 

I called up investors today seeing when they were going to secure their investment 50% and they said they will get the check to us.  This will be an exciting process.

Kyle worked most of the day on getting up the latest You Tube entry.  It features Ryan Gomes of the Minnesota Timberwolves joining the Diamond Ruff Club. It came out really funny.  I will encourage others to create a Diamond Ruff project video so we can post this will assist in getting the word out on the project.

This coming week we have to have the book in hand from the editor. Once we have a book in hand this will change the speed and direction of the project.  It will be a giant leap.

I worked on writing a script for the Godfather skit and I will put on You Tube.  I wrote a part for Mike.  This will be fun.  Paige started on working on a graphic for the book. It is a time table that character Diamond Ruff gives to Rev. Woods.  I did it before but lost the electronic version and the quality on the printed one I had was bad so we recreated it.

Mike, Kyle and I came into the studio to shoot the Godfather skit that we renamed “Ruff Father”.  We did a comedy of the opening scene of the Godfather but with a ghetto twist to it. 

 A couple people told me they don’t understand the You Tube and what it has to do with the book.  I will explain it in the latest edition of this week’s You Tube.

Today is my daughter’s Paige’s 13^th Birthday party.   Kyle and I took off early to celebrate.  Our early day is 4:30pm.  We can go up to 11:00pm most nights.  My wife went all out renting the girls in her class a white stretch limo, movie, dinner and her own laptop. Paige was so happy and grateful.  I’m away a lot, so it’s moments like this that mean the most.

One of our investors Larry sent in an investor’s check. A few investors have come in for the book printing but we need more.  I will follow up on this.

Today was a good day.  We were able to get “Pick the Stars” up on the website.  It’s exciting.  I spoke to Tim who is editing and proofing the book.  He’s going through it with a fine tooth comb.  I told him I want a national bestseller so he’s checking all the detail.  This is good but it’s pushing the project past our due date.  But everything has to be just right.

Ryan Gomes called at the last minute and had to cancel because he had to take care of some things before going back to Minnesota.  I asked Mike to see if we could meet him in Waterbury where he was. He agreed and we met him there. The meeting was held in a shopping mall parking lot in Waterbury.  The meeting went well.  Ryan agreed to be a club member and said he would look at opportunities in the project. We also got some great footage for You Tube.

Mike Sanders came in today to set up a meeting tomorrow with Ryan Gomes from the Minnesota Timberwolves. The meeting is set up to discuss my company Young! Studios to brand his image. I hope Ryan will have interest in using his name and image in the Diamond Ruff Project. If so he will add a lot of credibility. Mike is also setting up a Canadian book tour for us. Mike is a true asset to our program.

Kyle and I put together a funny skit for YouTube featuring Obama. I think in the future we should add skits and give staff and members a chance to act in skits. It will be fun and help promote the website. We’re having technical problems with our website and it wasn’t up at all which isn’t good for investors. I stayed on the phone with our webhosting company for some time and I thought to myself “every little thing can affect our success”.
