Become an intern at Young! Studios. We are an advertising, animation and film company in downtown Hartford . In this internship you will receive an experience compared to none! You will learn about the process of publishing, film and video production. This internship will also include learning about marketing, promotion, bringing in revenue to a company and you will gain insight on managing a business. Currently the Diamond Ruff Project Team is working on publishing the Diamond Ruff book by Joe Young and then we will take it a step further and promote the movie Diamond Ruff. This internship is only for academic credit. However the experience and business contacts or celebrity contacts that you will gain will be valuable. In addition the students will be able to participate in meetings and planning sessions about the movie Diamond Ruff.

When we receive information that describes your talents, skills and experience as much as possible you will be able to gain more experience in your particular area of interest. It is required that all interns have a specific amount of work hours, so that projects can be planned and carried out. A minimum of 10 work hours a week is required from each intern.

We are looking for:
Several students who are Public Relations, Journalism or English majors who are proficient in grammar, spelling and writing persuasive essays. We need students who have strong verbal communication skills and they must have the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job description:

  • Researching and writing content for website, brochures, flyers, posters etc. Topics and details will be given.
  • Proofreading/ editing word documents and making sure they are good enough to publish.
  • Networking with others in the film industry.
  • Attending meeting and events.

Several students who are Visual communication, public relations or Graphic Design majors who are creative because most of their job will consist of coming up with ideas for interactive media for the members for the Diamond Ruff website. They must have a general understanding of Interactive media, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft word. They should have a general knowledge about video games, cell phone texting and internet social networks. These Students will also need to have strong verbal communication skills and they must have the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job description:

  • Creating website interactive media Content.
  • Researching new interactive marketing trends that we can use for the website.
  • Being responsible for trafficking, reporting and assisting the Website manager in the maintenance of newsletters, emails, blogs and more.
  • • Present and clearly articulate all presentations of a new idea or concept for interactive media to the Diamond Ruff team members.
